Blog Update and Baby girl

Not so good @ blogging! It's been awhile huh!? Well, lets get up to date then, Last I posted I was about 6 months along. Since then I had hard days, weak days, and good days. Now I have my baby girl and she is 4 weeks 1 day old! already.

She arrived 10-13-09 @ 3:30 pm! She came at 36 weeks 4 days. Labor was INSANE; Worst pain I have felt ever in my life!
Baby girl weighed 6lbs 5oz, 19 1/2 inches long. A beautiful dark complexion like her daddy and pretty much just looks like her daddy! She is beautiful :)
WHEN IT ALL STARTED - 10-12-09 (funny I posted on facebook that day, "25 days till my due date") little did I know it would all start that night.
About 9pm, my stomach hurt, almost just like I exercised too hard and my abs were pissed! Then I thought maybe I had gas. Last thing on my mind is that it was anything to due with the baby. It only got worse, but was constant. Called the doc and he said, could be slow contractions and not to worry, just come in if they start getting strong and close together. Well it was constant, so how was I to know how close together they were or even if I was having contractions. About 11pm, I was running a fever, called again,
Doc: Take a tylenol and rest.
I did and tried to rest, only thing that passed was the fever, until later!
Got up at 2am and was seriously sick of it, woke up Kev and said we need to go in. The ER was actually on top of it, they must only care about pregnant women in possible labor! LOL

- Anyway, Right up to L&D. Indeed I was having contractions, and another fever of 101.5. Got checked for UTI to see if that was the case, Negative. Maybe the flu? Nope.
Doc diagnosed it as "infections of the uterus" (forgot the medical term)

Had to be induced, only cure for the infection is birth.
Induction started at 6:46 AM. I was 2CM.
By 8AM he broke my water, I was 4CM.
Contractions are killing me at this point, I wouldn't have made it through without Kevin. I asked for an epidural and they said I couldn't because my platelets were low. WTF?!! They said we can check your blood again in 4 hours to see. humdiddly do, they took 5 hours!! and finally by hour 6 I got the epidural! By that point I was 7CM dilated 100 effaced. I may as well finished out the labor without it. Glad i didn't though! Seemed as if only 1 hour i was able to rest, if that, and it was time to push!
I was only pushing for 40 minutes! Felt like 10 to me. and here she be. I could not believe it. How amazing is childbirth?!

Now to add a funny part of it all; While getting the epidural, holding on to the nurse, my water really comes out and wowy the nurse got soaked! Once she took a step back it looked as if she pissed herself! It was embarrassing but funny. Kevin came back in the room and all I could do was give him a thumbs up! I felt A-mazing after the epidural!
Waited a whole 5 hours to see my baby after she was born :( I was very upset about that. I kept calling the nursery every 2 hours to see when I was gonna see her...they kinda played a run around on that. but I guess I understand somewhat, precautions I guess!! I only got to hold her for literallly 1 minute! Kevin got to walk her to the nursery tho, so that was nice.

Only needed 2 stitches, but had to have an IV for the whole labor plus the 2 day stay at the hospital! Wasn't fun. especially since they put it in the crease of my arm where it bends! I mean c'mon, I need to hold a baby and nurse her! I had them change it after the 1st night. They blew 2 veins! Ouch!

Day 1 after birth: I finally could really walk myself to the bathroom with no worry, besides pissing myself before making it becuase I had to wheel around a damn IV!
My ribs were really hurting from pushing! Every 3 hours the nurse would come push on my uterus! UGH. Didn't feel too good. I let the nursery have her the whole first night and half of the 2nd night! may as well take advantage while you can and rest up. considering I went thru 35 hours of no sleep and giving birth! I'd say we needed rest!

Day 2: I felt so much better, ribs still sore, kinda hard to breathe, and pretty dang difficult to sit, and ofcourse using the bathroom was a chore all in its own, STUNG like hell!!
We waited forever to be able to leave the hospital! Finally got to leave at 2pm. :)
- should have seen Kevin and I putting Jordynn's going home out fit on. Oh it was hilarious, I about peed all over! I am now pro at it. But that first day, nervous and excited! and putting her in the car seat, I didn't want to hurt her. Pro at that now too!

Since she's been home: Sleep has been crazy, but most days I feel alright, I'm able to exercise atleast every other day, depending on my rest! I pick sleep over exercise! (its more important) -- The first week and a half she would only sleep good if she was with us. Finally, I learned a trick, that should have been obvious! My friend Dawn had her for a couple hours one day while I went to the doc and had her sleeping in her bassinet the whole time!! now what the hell?! Well she had her swaddled differently than I was doing it. arms at her side and blanket pretty dang tight. Once we started doing that, she has been sleeping in her bassinet every night, for 3-5 hours at a time! Pretty dang awesome!
I ended up getting a crazy UTI within the 1st week after birth. Migraine from hell and achey bones! Glad its gone! -- I healed rather quickly, wasn't bleeding more than 2 weeks. Still a bit uncomfortable to sit because of stitches. Breast fed very well the first few weeks and then I started a pill that couldn't nurse with, plus I couldn't get her to latch properly and my nipples killed!! Since I have been off the pills I have been working on nursing again, she's not really takin to it. I will try a bit longer, and if not, it doesn't make me a bad mother. atleast I did it for 3 weeks even through the pain! I know its best, and its best if they get it thru 3 or more months. But its not working for me, and i can't get through the pain. I will buy a pump and pump as much as I can to feed her breast milk thru bottles! that way she is still getting it. Maybe I will produce plenty to last 3 months!!

She is healthy as ever. Never needed NICU and didn't get jaundus (spelling?) -- so thankful for my husband and getting me through it all! He talked me thru it and it helped SO much. Thankful my Mom and Sister could make it out so quickly! Mom baked delicious friendship bread, Amber did my laundry! it was awesome! :))

- Jordynn makes the funniest noises! she hehehe's like a horse, but add a baby grunt at the beginning. I laugh every time :)) So cute. -

25 weeks!! Almost 6 months

Finally I look pregnant!!
So this little girl came up to me at the store and said in a very curious voice, "Are you Pregnant?!!" It almost sounded rude....once I said yes, her face lit up and she ran to tell her mom. LOL It was cute!! And I love that people are asking me when I'm due...So I finally do look pregnant! :)

EXERCISE---
I've been doing about an hour of aerobics every day!! I'm going to start walking as well, if I could ever get out of bed! The past few days I've been sleeping in till 11! Its insane, and I haven't been having as many bathroom visits at night either. My body must really need the sleep right now. Bet the baby is going into major growing spurts and my body is paying for it as well! I don't mind, I still get things done through out the day. I am going to do the walks only on the days I don't do aerobics, I don't want to over work my body!! although, I will do short walks, maybe 30 minutes with the dogs.

I definitely feel a lot better when I exercise, I think its an addiction!! When I don't get to it, or I just don't do it, I get so moody and depressed! Almost like I didn't get my drug high for the day. I'm glad that I feel that way about it! Keeps me motivated. My baby is gonna come out with a six pack and huge biceps!! LOL Wouldn't that be a site to see?!

Does hunger ever go away!?!?!
I am always hungry, when I eat the stuff that is healthy for me and the baby it goes right through me and I'm starved again! but once I give in to some ice cream and a cookie, or some chips, I'm instantly full!! Don't know what it is. Oh well, a little bit of sweets and salty high calorie chips with tons of saturated fat isn't gonna kill me!! LOL wow sounds terrible. I eat enough healthy to make up for the once in awhile binge! I wish I had some multi-grain cheerios!! Those are DELICIOUS!!

I want, I need, I can't wait!!

August 25th-Sept 8th or so!!
gonna have a baby shower at my mom's as well as one in SLC! Hope everyone can make it to one of them or even both if ya want (all the more free food and snacks ya know) :))

I've gotta a lot of things already! none of which we have bought!
We have a car seat (barely used, from our friends over here)
Bassinet from my parents
clothes from a few different people.
Diapers and wipes (the start of those anyways)
I got a cake of diapers from my neighbor!! She is awesome
and more and more, can't even think of all the things we have.

Procrastinating!!
I've been putting things off until the last minute. I need to stop doing that!!
There are a few things that I need to be getting done, like finishing the blanket I started for Jordynn, cleaning out junk from the 2 rooms that pretty much just have junk in them!! I have a million old magazines that I need to recycle. I also need to get a good budget down for Kev and I!! If we can even stick to one that is. :/

I keep running across things that either we need or I want. So I definitely have a huge wish list!

especially for the kitchen area!
I would like a Kitchen Aid mixer as well as a hand held blender.
A new toaster (ours only works when it wants to)
a new crock pot (Kevin's lovely friends accidentally broke mine)
nice cooking SKILLET!!! (would love it)
Some new kitchen utensils (mostly knives, spatulas, the cooking necessities)
decorations to put on the walls and some more oven mits! I only have 2.
MAGNETS,,,,I really really need magnets!
Kitchen table and a kitchen rug (dining room rug)
Kitchen table center piece.

I could go on and on!! But eventually I may have all of these things! I hope sooner than later.

Right now our first thing on the list is a new whole front room suite!!!
Already have a couple in mind, just gotta come up with the money/or do a rent to own sort of deal!
Next we would like a new bedroom suite!! We already know what we want.

It might take us awhile to get this stuff,,,but it will happen. :))

I've been cooking everything from scratch lately!! Breakfast, Dinner!! I even made banana bread! it was delicious! although it makes for a lot of dishes when mixing, blending, cooking!!
Between dishes, laundry and the 2 dogs I am busy busy all day it seems. I enjoy it though. :)

Ultrasound photo @ 21 weeks!!

Can not wait to see her gorgeous face!! :) We only have 3.5 months to go! I can't believe how quickly the time is going and we still have not bought one thing for her! I did get most of the registry done though! I do have a few things for her, just nothing I spent money on. Ya know its actually kinda nice not spending money! We will though, probably buy a couple things this week!!! I hope, well I want to, just gotta talk Kevin into going with and checking things out.

So we finally got a washer and dryer, they aren't the best but its cheaper and wayyy better than sitting at the laundry mat for 4-5 hours!!! I'm already doing laundry as we speak! Its amazing.

Been keeping up with the gym for the most part, I go about 4 times a weeks, sometimes more. Just do the elliptical machine for about 3-4 miles each time...takes me about 60 minutes to go that far because the doc said to keep my heart rate below 140, so i am doing so :) The treadmill strains my stomach too much, kills me!! I can' t walk too far anywhere or it starts to hurt....kinda weird.

Dakota (our 6 month old dog) is driving us crazy! She runs off every night right before bed!! She knows when Kevin is angry with her so she tries to hide behind me (makes me feel bad) but she needs to learn. I just tell Kev not to hurt her too bad cause you shouldn't have to abuse anything to get your point across, but she seriously won't listen! She has pissed on the floor probably 4 times in the past few weeks! and she never does that. I don't know what her deal is. Well she will be getting fixed on August 7th!! So yay, maybe that will fix some of the issues. We can hope.

Well I plan on coming out to Utah the 3rd week in August!! Only for about a week this time, can't travel too far after that. while I am out there I plan on having a couple baby showers, my mom is having one for me as well as Kevin's mom Jane in SLC. We will see how this all plans out as it gets closer. Well love you all, TTYL

Baby Movements & Registry

I've noticed changes in the baby's movements. I can definitely tell that she can hear now. If there is rock music playing she is all over the place!! I've also noticed when ever Kevin is talking she starts moving more! It seems she can tell the difference of who's hands are on my belly. When I have mine on there she still moves, if Kevin puts his hands on there, she is little miss stubborn and barely moves!! I'm not sure I like it when she turns her body though, it makes me all woozy and it puts a huge stabbing pain in my stomach!! INSANE! Atleast I know she's moving and is very healthy! I can almost tell the difference of hand movements versus feet! Feet are much stronger than the arms! Its amazing she will be here in 3 and a half months!!! We are so excited...can't wait to see her beautiful eyes and bathe her for the first time, dress her all pretty and do her hair (when she has hair) Oh its gonna be great.

I have started registering at babysrus.com! I gotta do it early because I am having an early baby shower back in Utah in mid August! Can't travel that far after 7 months...so gotta do it soon!

22 weeks and 4 Days Photo!!

I'm over 5 months now!! Only 17 Weeks and 3 Days! I am getting more and more excited everyday. :]
The baby has been moving more and stronger as she has gotten bigger! I can feel her move from the out side now. I love it.

I've been going to the gym about 4-5 times a week. I always walk/jog about 2.5 miles or more each time I go. I've been doing a few strength exercises, squats, push ups, dips, planks, ( the ones that you can do while pregnant ) I feel good for the most part. I still feel a little self conscious, but definitely feel better than I would if I didn't do anything!!

Been looking for a job that I could work for 3 months or so. But no luck there. I just would love extra money to buy things for the baby and our house. We'll be fine though. To keep me busy I clean, paint, draw, and figure out decorating ideas to give things a little more flavor.

My baby weighs about a pound!! Not sure how many inches yet...I go to the doctor tomorrow and she will be telling me about the baby's growth and all that good stuff.

Plan on having a baby shower in September back in Utah. I would have to do it that early since I can't fly nor travel after 7 and 1/2 months. I'm already starting to register online at Baby's R us and Wal-Mart, K-Mart. Can't wait to see friends and family! :))

FLASH LIGHT FUN

So I heard that baby can see light and may dodge it if you shine it on your belly, had to try!! Well talk about a big kick!!! She freaked...it was awesome. LOL Fun times already :]

She was wayyy active after teasing her with the light for like 3 hours last night.

21 WEEKS! Only 19 Weeks left

I can' t believe how quick this is going. When I first found out, I was thinking, wow that is so far away, I wanna meet my baby now!! But I'm already over half way done. NOW WOW that was quick. We find out what the little one is on Monday!! Just a few more days :] I'm thinking its a boy, but a lot of people have told me its a girl. We'll see!!
My sister and her family are coming out here for a few days next week as well! Super excited. Haven't seen them for a bit, I know my dog will be ecstatic to have kids here to play with her!! I'm glad to see she loves kids, since there's a little one on its way.

21 WEEKS!!

I'm 21 weeks pregnant tomorrow! I am so ecstatic about having a baby, I can't even explain the emotions it brings me. I've been feeling the baby move more and more each day. Its the most wonderful feeling ever! I know I will miss it after birth :].

I can not believe that I am having a baby, I am so overwhelmed with happiness, so speechless!! I was feeling down on myself for awhile about the things I can't do now that I'm pregnant and totally didn't even think of all the positive sides of it! Yeah it might change my body, (a lot), my boobs may grow insanely huge since they already were and are even more!! I don't get to enjoy amusement park rides or dive into a pool. But I get to carry a child from being as small as a grain of rice to its birthday, 21 inches or more in length. I am a mother and not everyone gets to experience that first hand. Women are amazing!! I am so lucky to have a man that appreciates me and understands "most" of how I feel. He is so happy to have our child and not a day goes by that he doesn't ask me how I'm feeling or smiles at my growing belly. :] Life is great and I couldn't ask for more.

I'm so happy to have a belly!!! Its amazing all these people worried about having flat abs and here I am impatiently waiting for my belly to grow!! Oh its great. Although I will want flat abs again! :]

Oh LIFE

I've just decided to start a blog, put my life in words per say! I always have random, off the wall thoughts pop up and would love to just log on and pass on the odd, pointless info. But actually how could it be pointless when really it does make a difference in someones life, if not anyone, it did mine!! I live for random, Its my light. Makes the days go by in a positive, fun way!!
